i’m fighting a cold. this morning i gargled with warm tabasco saltwater. i highly recommend that for sore throats. then i drank an orange-flavored emergen-c, which didn’t really do much. hardly fizzed even, maybe because the packet had been sitting in my desk drawer since 2001. i felt like there was a stinging loogey lodged in my esophagus all day.
for lunch, marco bought me a delicious chicken pita wrap and i ate that while i watched him declutter the bar. i helped by pointing out all the clutter. haha. nobody knew i was fighting a cold.
after work i ate some cherry cold-eeze lozenges and then crawled into bed. but then my very good friend dr. terry called me from down the street so we met up and he treated me to dinner and starbucks. we talked about our lives, bowel movements, y=mx+b, and murakami. he diagnosed my stomach disease as a bezoar. i’m laughing right now because he told me he bought a drum machine. hahaha! something beautiful about true friends.
i went to the gym because cardio and weightlifting is one of the best ways to fight off a cold. i finally felt the loogey in my throat dislodge while i was doing crunches on the yoga ball. i didn’t know what to do so i swallowed it. my throat feels better but now i got the mucous bezoar. i used the angular shoulder press machine for the first time. it wasn’t that interesting.
my hair is wet but i’m going to sleep now. this new haircut, i keep waking up with severe bedhead.
