happy most boring hulloween ever. the most exciting thing about today was that i ate baby ruth, snickers, m&ms, and reese’s peanut butter cups. yikes. also, the building closed at 3:30 today. but that meant that i had to bring some work home, so i’m about to do it. i’m still wearing my costume. look out, slutty cop and slutty nurse, because it’s all about slutty medical editor.
i was pretty exhausted all day again today. What gives.
i ate chili dogs today for the first time in years. marco made them, except mine were healthy choice ones and his were nathan’s. i drank diet coke and it was an exciting meal. we watched marty, which was a good movie.
most of the time, life is what you make of it.
i had puny grip 5000 all day. i’m ready for bed. i hung out at my mom’s house this evening. she gave me a case of acai juice, which is the superfood that bob burnquist drinks in the morning. maybe it will make puny grip a thing of the past. it’s true you are what you eat. i ate too many nuts today and they are making me feel a little crazy. tomorrow i want to flex super grip and get back into the gym. i’ll start by sleeping in my own bed at a normal hour. good night.
hi. marco and i are spending/spent the weekend in san jose. downtown san jose is cute and clean and has tons of bars and easy access to public transportation, but if you are looking for breakfast, forget it. restaurants don’t seem to open until pretty late.
on friday we went to cinebar and trials pub. i drank fat lip and boddingtons on a pretty empty stomach. i got affected and almost passed out in the tub.
on saturday morning we walked for hours looking for breakfast and finally ate mexican breakfast on good ol’ post street. didn’t know about peggy sue’s. that day we went to the body worlds 2 exhibit at the tech museum. it was a good exhibit. the plastinates were kind of appetizing to me.
saturday night was momentous because i attended the ruth and slaytan wedding! it was awesome. slaytan is a total ripper and true friend from college. i was so happy to see him so happy. i met his wife briefly and she is beautiful and seems absolutely great. their reception was at the san jose museum of art and it was really nicely done.
it was also awesome to see other old buddies from college. dylan was there with his wife. she is the woman of our dreams because she is brilliant and gorgeous and also used to be a pro snowboarder and has a black belt and likes to drink wine. she stabbed a chicken so she could stuff it with baby ruths:
it was so nice to see everyone. karim and dana and their little girl were there too and are expecting another little girl in a month. we are all grown up now, it’s weird. also saw mike p-rez and met his wife who is down-to-earth and super nice. it’s neat to see all my friends so happy.
every new person that i met told me, “i heard so much about you! sean talks about you all the time.” so i felt all cool and special. weddings always remind me of who my true buddies are.
well, i should go get something to eat and head towards the airport now. “man jose” has been fun.
I’ve been enjoying staying up late again. if i didn’t have a lot of medical editing to do tomorrow, i’d probably stay up all night.
my left nostril keeps bleeding.
nothing new to report. went to kung fu class to beat up norman because he punched me in the lip last time. then went to marco’s house for elucidation. “super.” watched him work on his creepbike then i came home and took that bubble bath. my relationships are changing.
I am tired. the company provided influenza vaccinations, but i forgot to get mine so now i feel like i am going to get sick any minute now. Remember when I almost died in 1999, that was weird.
Nothing new to report. I watched the end of an episode of perfect strangers. balki was crying because he got his heart broken by some woman. it made me feel really uncomfortable.
i did the pilates “bun and thigh” workout for the first time ever. “my buns are burning! my buns are burning!” that was the punchline of a barbecue joke some black girl in fifth grade told the class. haha.
i’m going to go relax and not watch fire news now.
yesterday i went to dr. nancy and dr. terry’s wedding and it was so much fun. bumped into a few gentlemen that i’ve known since junior high school algebra class too. it was nice. i can’t believe dr. terry is married now, but nancy was the most beautiful bride i have ever seen and i am sure the both of them will be very happy together.
I don’t know why these glasses were on the table. I thought it was for the slideshow of old photographs, but nope. also, i was in the slideshow, which made me feel very special.
i left the reception feeling a little buzzed and went back to the sheraton in santa monica after i changed into blue jeans for the wedding afterparty. i felt weird at the afterparty at first because my wedding guest (supertong) didn’t come along, and i didn’t really know anyone at the phat party, and no sign of terry or nancy or the junior high algebra nerds anywhere. also, i was terribly underdressed. haha. so i just sat and drank a beer by myself by the pool until a pretty girl approached me and started talking to me. then she goes, “you’re here for the wedding too? so are you friends with eric or tracy?” HAHA. oops. we laughed and then she told me to go have my polaroid picture taken for eric and tracy’s guestbook. that was funny and eric and tracy know how to throw a good party too.
i finally found the right party and dr. terry was drunk. and wearing blue jeans. it was rad. you know how there are bad drunks and mean drunks and psycho drunks. terry is a goofy friendly drunk! i loved it until he cursed at me haha. we ate pieces of mrs. field’s cookie cake thing, some liver pate, and endless cocktails. everyone had a good time and my eyebrow mole became an object of adoration, so there. afterwards, a few of us went to air conditioned, which was lame, but the deejay did play some good hiphop music.
pretty great. i am so happy. 
Up late for no other reason except that it’s late and i’m up.
I just took a shower. I feel like I should be drinking diet mountain dew, eating twizzlers, and filling in punnett squares.
hooray for friday, but i am beat.
I just chilled tonight. Worked out a little bit on the total gym while watching kitchen nightmares. i did like 100 reps. now i want to eat a steak.
nothing too exciting to report. i’m going to go do some pilates now.
