chilled today and then kicked it with the most adorable sneakerhead tonight.  i ate pizza for the first time in over a year.  it was good!  we split a bottle of wine, watched tennis and a movie, and chilled.  he is nice.

i will have to crank it in the office tomorrow.  lame.

it’s nice to be back home.  i enjoyed a delicious dinner with my family, but my stomach disease is going crazy from all the joyhogging. i think i need to get some sleep.

tomorrow should be good.

afterwards, we went to lemmings for some “regional” beers. it was a good way to ward off the hangover and continue the drunkeness.  i drank bell’s, krankshaft, and a sip of gumball head.  good beer around here for sure.  nobabs ran the pool table.  afterwards, we hit up the t-shirt deli for a delicious tee to go…

kicked it at ftz’s pad and played with his cute orange cats.  then drank some wine while shopping at whole foods for dinner things. i liked walking around the store with my glass of wine.  dinner: sous vide salmon, crab legs, corn, and lots of wine.  these people joyhog like there’s no tomorrow, and well, you know i love that.

tomorrow i’m planning on seeing an old friend who i wished i saw earlier in the trip.  it will be wonderful to see her.  and then i’ll be headed home.  i love vacation, joyhogging, this city, etc.  but i do miss home.  what can i say…

we chilled at nb’s house drinking wine and jigsaw puzzling (yes, we are nerds).  we played another game of s-k-a-t-e (nb won!) and then grilled up the seafood and brie and played guesstures.  i get anxiety about playing “games” but bob and martin were the best guessture teammates ever, we totally won by like a million points.  met up with jaeger who i have not seen since my college days, and chilled with bengus.  super fun.

i have been drinking all day.  i almost don’t like it, but erin reminded me that i am on vacation, so i am joyhogging like i do.  a lovely city with great peeps.  i look forward to tomorrow…

it’s really 4:50am.

drank some old styles and shot some pool at ez inn.  a great time.  then grabbed some cans of old style lights and moled a flatground sesh in front of bob’s pad.  it was really super fun.  bob rode a really tall unicycle down the street.  it was rad.

finally made it to my hotel.  i’m beat.  kind of a weird hotel, i got locked in the stairwell and then used the “maids’ elevator” by accident.  got lost amongst carts of towels and folded bed sheets.  the lobby bar looks grand though.  my room is freezing cold and pumping out chilly air even though i set the thermostat to 90.0F.

tomorrow we have planned food and mellow skate things.

met up with jlee, lila, and mikey at the chi chi bar in glendale.  gossip and catchup.  they are wonderful people, these friends of mine.  i broke jlee’s fishing pole right after i said, “i hope it didn’t break in my trunk.”  i felt so bad but we laughed about it.

i’m at my mom’s house right now.  about to take a nap before i wake up at the crack of dawn to get this holiday weekend party started.  i’m getting out of la and getting in over my head.  but i like it.

Yeah, I thought it was rad too, but they just meant “refused” in regards to answering the question.  Many of my friends and family members are getting engaged, married, having children, or getting divorced.  i’m refusing all of those conditions right now.

oh, don’t get me wrong.  one of these days i’m going (with somebody) to the deserted island to chill and eat coconuts all day.

after work i wanted to take a nap but i watched a short clip of the great tom penny and felt inspired to go skate.  unfortunately, there were too many bmxers rolling up and down my favorite banks so it wasn’t that fun for me.  and of course i got ankle chopped and heel bruised while doing nothing rad.  one of these days i’ll have a good skating day again.

i was too tired to make it to kung fu class and the ledge spot.  just a night of nothing i guess.

i feel kind of weird right now and not in a rad way.  i’m looking forward to seeing my family tomorrow.  not so much because i miss them, but because i think i need them for some secret reason.

after work i hit up the skatepark but i was so tired i could not bust any of my staple tricks.  i must have looked like the biggest poser, but i don’t even care anymore.  afterall, i am the mayor, and it was just cool to chill with the homies.  randy was shredding as always.  some little kid on a razor asked me whether he is a champion skater.  i said yes.  that same kid asked me why i skate if i’m a girl.  i told him i’m not a girl, i’m a woman.  and then he was scared of me after that.

i lounged in bed and did some work for work.  just to catch up on a few things before the holiday weekend.  it was actually kind of relaxing copy editing in bed.  i didn’t get enough done though.

i need a vacation.  and one day of rain.  i want to be ready for fall.  chopak said i’ll be fine.
